Title of post doctoral research: Mangrove sediment bacteria as a source of pigments with antibiofilm activity on food pathogens
Research area: Main area of my research is bioactive compounds from microorganisms which include bacteriocins, pigments and other compounds. I am also studying the genomic mining of bacteria for bioactive properties. The major aim of whole genome mining and comparative genomic analysis is to study the probiotic nature of bacteria especially Bacillus probiotics.
