Dr. Manjusha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Cochin University of Science and Technology. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology in 1996; and her Master’s in Biotechnology in 2000 from School of Biosciences, MG University, Kottayam. She worked towards her doctoral Degree in Biotechnology and earned it in 2006 from Cochin University of Science and Technology. She joined as Postdoctoral trainee at CCMB, Hyderabad in 2008. She joined as Post-doctoral Research Associate at School of Industrial Fisheries, CUSAT (2010), CMFRI Cochin and RGCB Trivandrum (2009).

She started her career as Asst. Professor in the Department of Biotechnology in St. Peters College, Kolenchery, Ernakulam in 2006. And later in 2014 as the Asst. Professor in the Department of Biotechnology in Cochin University of Science and Technology. At CMLRE Kakkanad, she worked as Project Scientist in July 2019. Again she joined as Assistant Professor on Contract in Dept of Biotechnology at Cochin University. Also, served as Assistant Professor and Head in the Department, Director of Research , Research Directorate, SIAS –CSR, SAFI Institute of Advanced Study, Malappuram (Affiliated to the University of Calicut), from January 2016 to October 2018. She is also currently pursuing MBA from SGVU Jaipur, Rajasthan. She has developed Marine DNA Bar code database and Fish DNA Bar code database at 2010 (www. ncbi/nih.gov/ entrez /Nucleotide / Manjusha S and Madhusoodanakurup B , 2010) and. At the period of 2011-2014, she has helped in the development of DNA sequences databases for Marine systems from Indian Ocean (www.ncbi.nih.gov.nucleotide core/CoML/CMLRE).
