Salmonellosis, caused by Salmonella, is a leading cause of food poisoning worldwide. As the use of antibiotics raised the prevalence of antimicrobial resistant bacteria, bacteriophage therapy presents an appealing alternative for treatment of bacterial infections. Her research is focused isolation of candidate Salmonella phages and its application on food products and in vivo model C.elegans. Research also focuses on phage genome analysis and identification of candidate antimicrobial proteins.
