Dr.DEEPA NARAYANAN is a UGC DSK Post –Doctoral Fellow working at the Department of Biotechnology. She is working on Natural Biomaterials as 3D scaffolds for tissue engineering, biomedical and drug testing applications .She was awarded the prestigious UGC Dr. DS Kothari Post-Doctoral fellowship in 2017 which funds her current research. Dr. Deepa Narayanan qualified CSIR NET and did her PhD at Amrita centre for Nano science and Molecular Medicine (ACNSMM) AIMS Kochi on the “Oral delivery of Chitosan based peptide loaded Nano formulation for the treatment of Osteoporosis”. She then pursued a year of research in Liver Tissue regeneration at ACNSMM as a Post- Doctoral Fellow. She continues to explore the science of polymeric nano materials besides her interest in natural biomaterials .
